Barsett Consulting provides guidance to early stage molecular diagnostic, pharmaceutical, and therapeutic companies. These companies face unique challenges. There is an enormous potential for translating insights from basic biology into new directions for screening, diagnosis, and clinical medicine. The perspective of Barsett is that insights and ideas are not enough. The focus should be upon relating these insights to the larger contexts of biological systems, healthcare delivery, and economics.
Barsett Consulting was founded by Warren Maltzman, a molecular biologist with experience in basic cancer biology, diagnostics, and translational research. His career spans academic research, clinical laboratories, and start-ups. Dr. Maltzman’s most recent areas of interest include cell-based assays, targeted therapy and companion diagnostics, especially as applied to breast and cervical cancers.
Barsett will work with you to assure that your venture is seen as one where the underlying scientific principles are solid and investment of capital is justified. We believe that scientists who reduce insight to practice, investors who support them, and business people who bring an idea to market, should have a common viewpoint. For this reason we offer our services to both early stage companies and investors.
